HISTORY OF TRINITY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
The story of Trinity Presbyterian Church is a story of God’s faithfulness to His people in Chennai.
2020
In the summer of 2020, Rev Christopher P. David moved to Chennai having been sent by Koinonia Presbytery to plant a church to minister to the spiritual needs of the city of Chennai. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic this work was affected. With lockdown in effect, a dozen people met weekly via Zoom Videoconference for prayer and to study the Bible together.
2021
With the ending of lock down restrictions, the online meetings progressed to weekly physical gatherings at the residence of Rev David. During this time, a Core Team was formed of like-minded people who longed to see a Reformed church established in Chennai. The team met weekly for prayer and discussion to discern God’s vision and plan for the launch of the church.
